What is Merch By Amazon?
Merch By Amazon is a print on demand platform which allows you to upload your designs to different apparel products and when they sell on Amazon you get paid royalties. This business idea is perfect for anyone who wants to start a business with no upfront cost or for designers looking to get their designs out there. It was initially developed for game developers and gaming companies to quickly produce t-shirts to promote their products, and get them out to their fans as fast as possible. Why Merch By Amazon?
There is definitely no shortage of Print On Demand Platforms, but Merch By Amazon beats them all. No other platform has the audience that Amazon has not to mention prime shipping and ease of purchase that Amazon provides for its customers, so for me it’s a clear winner.
Step By Step Guide To Create A Merch By Amazon Account
1 – Go to https://merch.amazon.com/landing and Request Invitation
2 – Click On Create Your amazon Account
3 – Enter Your Details
4 – Verify Your Email Address by going back to your inbox and copy the code that Amazon gave you, then click verify.
5 – Read The Terms Of Service and click Agree. Make sure you understand the terms really well so that you can stay on the right side of Amazon, otherwise you will risk your account being terminated by Amazon and their decision is always final.
6 – Begin Application. If you’re applying as company enter you company details and if you’re applying as an individual just enter your full name and your individual details.
7 – Choose your country
8 – Enter Your Information
9 – Enter Your Bank Information. In case you don’t know where to find IBAN and BIC codes, they are usually in your bank statement or online banking. Make sure your bank account name matches exactly the name on your Amazon account, otherwise you won’t get paid. If Amazon doesn’t accept your country, there is a workaround. You need to register with Payoneer and use it as bank information for Amazon. As a reader of my blog, if you register by clicking on this link you will get $25 from Payoneer. 10 – Complete Tax information. People that live in the US don’t have any tax withholding because they pay tax locally. If you live outside the US and your country has a tax treaty with the US, your tax withholding rate will vary depending on the percentage agreed according to the treaty. For example The UK has a treaty With the US and our tax withholding is 0%. When you enter your country, Amazon will show you the correct tax withholding rate for your respective country. If your country is eligible and in order to reduce your tax withholding rate, you need enter your local tax identification number and if you don’t have one then call the IRS on (1) 267-941-1000 and ask for an EIN number which you will then use to complete your tax information. I will do another tutorial on how to do this soon.
11 – Sign and Submit
12 – Preview Tax Information and Submit
13 – Click exit Interview and access the additional information section. Choose the industry type as Novelty T-Shirt Business, If you’re applying as an individual enter your full name and if you’re applying as a company enter your company name.
The additional information section is your chance to sell yourself and convince Amazon to accept you. There is no secret to writing the perfect additional information message that will get you accepted because, but bellow are some tips to implement when writing your additional information message to give yourself the best chance of getting accepted.
How To Use Payoneer as a US Bank Account For Merch By Amazon Payments
1 – Register with Payoneer
2 – After you register, login and click on Global Payment Service
3 – Click on the US Bank Account and copy the bank information provided by Payoneer to the Bank Information in Merch By Amazon.
How Long does Amazon take to give you an answer of acceptance or rejection?
Amazon usually get back to applications within 3 working days but it could take weeks or months and no one knows why. There is no point contacting them because you won’t get an answer, so you just need to wait.

Hi, I have an account closed 1 year ago, if i do another request maybe they can accept me or it’s impossible ??
Their Terms and Conditions say that you can’t have another Merch account once they close your account . Try other platforms.

I mean like merch by amazon just to create the design without making marketing in another place

Redbubble block our accounts directly when we create one, and Etsy needs to pay for each product uploaded
